Nature and its Laws, as Seen by Kapuściński

A reporter. A witness of revolutions and wars. A journalist who combines reportage with art. The first collection of his poetry, titled ,,Prawa natury” (“The Laws of Nature”) has just appeared on the market.

Ryszard Kapuściński has been writing poetry since his early youth. When he was 17, he first saw his poem in print, in ,,The Odrodzenie”, weekly, but the first collection of his poetry has been published just recently, after 57 years since that first publication. Katarzyna Fortuna talks with Ryszard Kapuściński on poetry and the role of poetic language, examining what it means to be a poet.
