The famous American Writer Elizabeth Kostova who woke up a bestselling author almost overnight last summer with her novel "The Historian", visited Bulgaria, the country where part of the story about Drakula develops. In order to get closer to her subject the novelist who dedicated about 10 years to researching and writing the novel, listened to Bulgarian music, looked at old photos and even cooked the most popular dishes of the region. The Bulgarian family name of Kostova made many readers around the world believe that the author is Bulgarian. In fact she bears the name of her husband who is Bulgarian. During her visit to Sofia Elizabeth Kostova announced that she will give 10 percent of the money from the "Historian" for Bulgarian projects in the field of education and culture.
