Bulgaria is a fashionable topic in Canada

Lillia Goleminova has lived more than 4 years in Canada. She is host of the weekly radio programme about Bulgaria in English at 102.3 FM CINQ - Montreal and co-host of the weekly TV show "Bulgarski Accenti" at Global CH, Montreal. She works hard to promote Bulgarian culture among Canadians as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian - Canadian Cultural Association. The Bulgarian community in Canada is the only one among 120 others which has the opportunity to broadcast its own TV programme in its native language. Every Wednesday Bulgarian immigrants in Canada, estimeted to be more than 80 thousand, can sit in front of TV and listen to Bulgarian speech. Lillia is convinced that many of them intend to return to the homeland especially those with good professions like physicians for example. Svetlana Dicheva from the Bulgarian National Radio asked Lillia Goleminova about the ususal topics for her weekly radio programme in English dedicated to Bulgarian culture.
